I am a young Engineer who is exceptionally devoted to Materials Science, especially synthesis, characterization, and application in various environmental problems. I earned my bachelor’s degree (B.Eng.) in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, in 2011 and my master’s degree (M.Eng.) in the same institution in 2016. I have most enjoyed my courses and research in materials synthesis and characterization with their applications in various areas such as water, corrosion sciences, and battery technology.
I have also found time to work as a Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore from 2017 to 2022. I have developed and perfected my research and development skills and obtained a Ph.D. Presently, I am doing my second Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Dalhousie University, Halifax.
Over this period in my career, I have completed a great deal of research involving SEM, FIB-SEM, EBSD, TEM, XRD, XPS, UV-vis, Raman spec, AAS, FTIR, TGA, EIS, Tafel, and weight loss measurement; and published over thirty (30) papers in peer-review journals cited more than 383 times on google scholar with h-index of 12 and an i10-index of 14 as of January 2023. Also, my knowledge of data analysis using software such as Design Expert, MINITAB, COMSOL Multiphysics, MATLAB, MATHCAD, Origin software, X’Pert HighScore Plus, FullProf Suite, VESTA, TSL OIM Analysis, NanoScope Analysis, and ImageJ has helped me to meet many research task in the course of my career. I have also actively written proposals reports and presented my work at multiple seminars and conferences.
This experience has left me hungry for further advancement through studies at the different level. I could not be more passionate about scientific research and eager to study more to attain the optimal foundation for a professional life dedicated primarily to research and development.
