Alireza Tavakkoli

I am a Graduate Research Assistant at Western University, on track to complete my program in December 2023. My background is rich in both academic and industrial experience, particularly in the realms of Data Science, Software Engineering, and Machine Learning, as my thesis resides at the intersection of these domains. Additionally, I possess notable expertise in Business Intelligence (BI) development and Data Analytics.

I pursued a Master's degree involving collaborative research to predict software bugs by linking code commits to issue tracking data, combining Data Science, Software Engineering, and Machine Learning. My work required advanced analytics and statistical analysis. I also worked on anomaly detection in medical samples, providing an efficient data-generation model.

In my Bachelor's thesis, I developed an innovative classification model using a dataset from a challenge in the field. During my undergraduate studies, I engaged in data mining, created a trading algorithm, and contributed to Business Intelligence projects, demonstrating proficiency in Data Engineering and Machine Learning. My work was recognized, and I was offered leadership roles.

Throughout my academic and professional journey, I've seamlessly merged various disciplines, designed databases, conducted advanced data extraction, and rigorously applied statistical methodologies.
