My clinical interests are in orthopedic and sports injuries with a special interest in low back and neck disorders. My individually-tailored treatment style is eclectic, favouring a variety of evidence-informed hands-on skills and exercise-based treatments. I have presented at several local and national conferences, authored articles about physiotherapy practice, taught in clinical and academic settings and have a published peer-reviewed case study about Rapidly Reversible Chronic Pain.
Through the course of my career, I have been a Clinical Director and Vice-President of Operations and currently own a private practice specializing in helping people with Chronic Pain. Through these experiences, I have developed skills in operational efficiency, marketing, finance, and human resources.
Allen is a graduate of SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY with 20 years of experience. I am a Board-Certified Specialist in Orthopaedic Physiotherapy through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy through the McKenzie Institute International, a Retired Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and a Certified KinesioTaping Practitioner.
