The platform sent over 5.5 billion emails, SMS, and voice messages, with multiple M&As over the years. Over the years, the technical debt has increased, and the technology and operations are in desperate need of innovation and restructuring for growth.
Mandate: I was hired as a CTO to modernize and standardize the SchoolMessenger product and innovation practice, security, technical support, and operations to enable the company to manage innovation and growth. SchoolMessenger is part of West, so they need CTO to lead the segmentation effort of SchoolMessenger as a business and move from a private to a public company.
- Evaluated all product, R&D, technology, Security and operations' current state and redesigned and implemented a new Global technology organization to support SchoolMessenger growth.
- Ensure compliance with corporate security and audit control.
