HSE Coordinator/site in charge of work inside live power stations. Responsible for the implementation of project safety management systems, government legislation and regulations, and client requirements.
Supervise and coordinate with engineers and site supervisors to achieve the Project’s overall safety goals.
Ensure effective Permit-to-Work system implementation for the various critical activities on site.
Conduct safety campaigns and seminars involving all parties to ensure compliance with safety plans and policies, advise corrective actions, and follow up on the suggested actions to ensure proper implementation.
Develop project-specific HSE management plans, new hazard assessments, safety awareness training programs, and technical reports. Provide recommendations and input for revising safety procedures, developing safe work practices, etc.
Closely monitor high-risk activities, i.e., confined space entry, critical liftings, work at height, etc.
Develop and conduct HSE training, i.e., Confined Space Entry, Heat Stress and Working at Height, Environmental Awareness, etc. Preparing and updating HSE documentation, i.e., weekly and monthly reports, Incident Reports and Accident Investigations, training logs, and permit logs.
Coordinate and provide support for investigations of all incidents, including accidents, disabling injuries, medical aid cases, occupational illnesses, and high-potential near-miss incidents. Issue detailed incident investigation reports to project management personnel.
Projects included the construction of independent villas and condos for clients, including government agencies and private parties.
Monitor all work activities within the site and conduct regular inspections to ensure that the work is being carried out in line with approved Method Statements and Risk Assessments. Preparing regular monthly reports and ad hoc reports on relevant issues as required.
Ensure workplace safety, implement the Permit to Work System, and enforce full PPE compliance.
Reporting non-compliance to the Site Supervisors for rectification and escalating any further compliance-related issues to the HSE Manager.
Coordinate and assist in implementing and maintaining a site emergency response plan.
Ensure welfare arrangements for workers on site and at the labour camp. Arrange Logistics for the efficient transportation of men and materials and the storage of goods.
Inspect and maintain fire safety and necessary firefighting arrangements at the work site and the worker’s accommodations.
Monitor worker health and conduct health surveillance for the use of alcohol and other drugs on site.
Provide close supervision during hazardous activities.
Liaison with authorities for traffic arrangements during road and drainage repair activities.
