Been working in telecommunications for 10 years now and have expierence with Fiber/Docsis/Ethernet/DSL, you name it. Worked in Ukraine and Poland and seen the best and worst of it. If you need a skilled technician who is willing to work any kind of telecommunication job - you know who to call!
I've started working in telecommunications in 2012, while I was still studiyng at professional school in my hometown - Kirovohrad, Ukraine. Started my first real job at Volia, an internet service provider with strict rules and quiality control. Worked as a CATV/DOCSIS technician, customer facing. There I learned most important lesson - if you do everything right, despite spending a bit more time on the ticket - you won't have to go back there and fix it. Since then I always make sure that client is satisfied and installation is made with company regulations in mind.
When I finished university in 2016, I was presented with a challenge - either going to military or continuing my work outside of Ukraine, and I've chosen the latter.
Poland was next best thing and polish language wasn't an issue, so I moved there to pursue a career in telecommunications. There I landed a second major job - in Wipikom, a subcontractor for Orange Polska s.a.
Worked as a fiber optics splicer and Fiber to the house technician, again, customer facing. That particular job didn't pay well, but offered a lot in experience possibilities. Tools were limited and time was strict, as well as regulations and penalties were hard for not following procedures and not being able to work in those time constraints. Thankfully, previous job at Volia taught me how value your time and be procedual with any ticket you attend, so it wasn't as much of a problem to me. Eventually, because of poor management by higherups - company closed in 2021 and I've got hired to another company - JOKTA.
JOKTA was made by a fellow technician, Tomasz Kucharski, who gathered best technicians whom he was familiar with and I was hired since he was wery well aware of my capabilities. There I worked as the FTTH technician, customer facing and maintenance. Performed to the best of my abilities until an opportunity showed up - work visa for Canada.
My father lives in the US, Michigan and I was ready to twist mountains to make sure I get close to him, and ultimately achieved this. So here I am now looking for a job.
Automation and System engineering - making sure that manufacturing processes go smooth and with least human intervention.
