- Ensure assistance for all kids in shopping as requested.
- Assist with house cleaning, yard maintenance and meal preparation according to the established procedures and rotations.
- Assist kids to maintain acceptable personal hygiene standards.
- Ensure that recreational and leisure activities are appropriate and of benefit to the kids and promote/participate in community outings.
- Assist and role model day to day skills as relevant to the kids
- Supervise and sign for prescribed (non –prescription) medications as per established policy and procedures.
- Co-ordinate activities with the community resources to ensure that all kids participate as actively in community outings.
- Documented behavioral concerns and submitted incident reports for incidents happening during shift.
- Transported kids to doctor’s appointments, community activities and other events.
- Attend regular in-house meeting specific to kids, agency, and some community related aspects as deemed necessary by the agency
- Ensure residents and visitors respect all in orphan hood rules and best practices.
- Preparing meals and drinks for kids.
- Administering medication to kids.
- Completing of essential paper work.
- Speaking to care managers on behalf of kids.
- Ensure the security & safety of the orphan hood is maintained at all times. Taking kids to social events, appointments and places of worship.
- Assisting orphan hood with money management like household bills
