You might be wondering what a 9-year veteran of the veterinary industry is doing applying to an entry software developer position. While I agree the shift is a little strange, however if you’re looking for someone who’s equal parts motivated creative problem solving, great in fast paced environments and a developer keen on learning and growing their skills, then I’m your person.

My constant desire to find ways to improve systems and situations is what brought me to software development. I feel that being a part of the tech development world is the best way to impact industries in their search for advancement and can launch them forward with innovation. As I begin my new career I am motivated by the idea of innovative growth and continually working to improve things, leaving them better than they were.

9+ years in the animal health care industry, starting role in admin, continuously expanding my skillset and knowledge in many other areas of the clinic and ending my career managing a small hospital in Toronto. Skilled in inventory management and encouraging collaborative team work, I will have no problem transferring my teamwork skills to the tech industry and thrive in fast paced, high stress environments.
