I am passionate about science (especially microbiology), as well as music and education. I have extensive experience working with children through babysitting, summer camps, and tutoring writing, math, and science at middle and high school levels.
My formal work with children includes a position as a camp counsellor at a day camp in Summer 2021, as well as a volunteer project completed through the La Brea Tar Pits museum in which I developed and delivered a project-based lesson on Ice Age animals and paleontology for 4th and 5th graders, and developed resources for teaching on Zoom. Additionally, I have six years' experience babysitting and four years' experience tutoring a range of topics at the middle and high school levels, including biology, physics, writing, and history.
I am a student at McGill University studying Microbiology and Immunology. I previously graduated from Girls Academic Leadership Academy as the valedictorian with a 4.00 unweighted GPA.
