Balpreet Dhillon

I am a Front-End Web Developer who is currently looking for work. I am a graduate of BCIT’s Front End Web Development program. Throughout my education, I have learned many different skills and basic knowledge of various programming languages, e-commerce development, design tools, and different web development tools from completing structural projects that cover all of the core fundamentals.

I have also completed an in-depth JavaScript Course at UDEMY. Prior to web development, I have volunteered and worked at different jobs in the past that have given me a wide range of valuable life and personal skills. Passionate about creating, troubleshooting and problem solving, learning new things, and working with others in a team environment.

Although I do not have any professional experience yet, I have built projects in different areas to demonstrate what I know and what languages/tools I have used before. I've created a movie API project with React.js, A merchandise store with WordPress, and JavaScript projects like a card matching game and GitHub Finder which also used an API. To showcase all of this, I have created a web portfolio.

I have completed a program for a certificate in front end web development at the BCIT. I have got a start and have completed a variety of different programming languages classes in this course such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, React, PHP, WordPress, and Ecommerce. I have also learned a lot about the design side of things completing classes that went over Adobe XD, PhotoShop, Figma and UX/UI design.

I have also learned about the project management and freelancing. This was a great experience overall for me as I got to do many different projects and I am very excited to keep moving forward with my career in web development.
