Chemical Lab Technician. My education gave me hands-on experience setting up experiments, preparing solutions, and running all sorts of lab equipment. That's why I'm so good at my current job -I'm not just following steps; I understand the science behind every test.
My main role is making sure our products are up to snuff. I test raw materials, products in the middle of being made, and the final goods to make sure they're safe and meet quality standards. I use special instruments to find any defects or impurities.
My background means I'm great at things like calibrating equipment, troubleshooting issues, and accurately recording and interpreting data. I'm all about precision and problem-solving, and my job is to make sure everything is consistent and a high-quality product every single time
At National Dry Company, I worked as a QC Technician from July 2023 to the present. My main job was to make sure all our products met safety and quality standards.
I handled all the inspections, doing everything from visual checks to making sure the products were the right size and worked correctly. I kept detailed records of all my findings and made sure everything was documented properly for quality assurance.
I was also a key part of the team. I worked directly with the production staff to find and fix any issues that came up. I attended team meetings to talk about quality trends and suggest ways to make our processes better. I even helped train new employees on how to do inspections the right way.
Beyond just testing, I also helped keep the lab running smoothly. I made sure our equipment was always working correctly and tracked the inventory of our raw materials and finished products to prevent any shortages. I also helped keep the QC area clean and organized, and I got to help refine some of our quality control processes to make them more efficient.
My most relevant education is the Chemical Laboratory Technician diploma I earned from Durham College in Oshawa, Ontario. This program gave me a strong foundation in laboratory procedures, chemical analysis, and the hands-on skills I use every day in my professional life.
