Bradley Watt

Currently working as a Junior High School Re-Engagement Teacher for Halifax Regional Centre for Education. In this capacity I am working one-on-one with high anxiety students that refuse to attend school. Working with a team of professionals including a Social Worker, Child Youth Care Practionor and Administrators, my role is to reintroduce students back to school and learning through a stepped approach with the goal that they will attend school full-time, feel safe and succeed academically.

I have always been a passionate educator willing to share, collaborate and develop teaching strategies for all students. I led in the development and resourcing of currciulum materials for several technology and mathematics courses at Halifax West High School including: Applied Networking Technology 11, Electrotechnology 11, Applied Networking Technology 12, IB Higher Level Mathematics, Design Technology 11, IB Information Technology in a Global Society, Film and Video Production 12 and Computer Programming 12. I managed the procurement of technology equipment (3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machine, vacuum former, etc.) to create a MakerSpace at Halifax West High School where students design, build and create projects like the Life-size 3D Body Scanner, Life-size remote-controlled R2-D2 and Life-size remote-controlled BB-8 droid.

I enjoy inspiring and engaging students to explore challenging projects, to collaborate, to share their knowledge and most importantly celebrate diversity and foster mutual respect.
