Breana Zendran

I recently graduated from norquest college with my diploma in child and youth care.

I currently work at a co-op liquor store and YMCA before and after school care as a level 3. I have done my practicum at YMCA before and after school care and as a behavioral therapist (TABT) in a catholic school.

I have the experience and ability to perform supervisor duties. Such as training staff, inforcing and following health and safety regulations, working with higher management, and being a leader and role model.

I am passionate about giving vulnerable youth the opportunity to be heard and understood. Being able to understand the reason for their actions and use strategies such as truma informed, holistic and relational approach to help support them. In my opinion vulnerable youth are misunderstood to often and need to be given the opportunity to be heard.

I am also passionate about learning and developing new skills and strategies to help support vulnerable youth. In this field we are always learning about new ways we can better support and understand vulnerable youth. This is how we keep our self accountable as we work with children and youth. As they deserve the best to become the best they can be.
