Camille Ettenson

I recently worked at Kayla’s Children Centre, working in a camp environment with high needs nonverbal children and youth with autism. Helping kids reach their full potential by increasing confidence, accessing their individual needs, assisting them to stay on task and problem solving and to teach them not to forget to have fun. Working one on one and working as a team assisting multiple therapists as well as supervising kids during field trips and special events.

Building professional relationships with kids and teachers. During this experience I have gained so much knowledge working with individuals with developmental disabilities as well as working as a team, which will be beneficial when working as a Support Worker.

Working one on one in a camp setting with children with disabilities that had high needs. Assisted camper to participate in various types of therapies such as Animal Therapy, Occupational Therapy, ABA Therapy, Music Therapy, and Hydrotherapy etc. Giving individuals a good quality of life encouraging play and assisting children to participate in educational and fun activities 

Working in a classroom environment as a placement student with children and youth with disabilities. Working one on one and working as a team assisting multiple teachers.

I have a diploma in Social Work and I have a certificate in behaviour science and Autism
