In my recent role as a Life Skills Worker with Interior Health’s Mental Health and Substance Use team, I worked as part of a multidisciplinary care team supporting individuals facing complex challenges such as concurrent disorders, trauma, and homelessness. Through outreach, advocacy, and collaboration with community partners, I helped clients set achievable recovery goals while ensuring they felt respected and empowered throughout their journey.
