Although it may appear as if I have been away from the work force since 2016, I was caring for my husband who was diagnosed with MS in 2013, relapsing in 2015; as well continuing to raise our children.

Going through this has helped me prepare for this role with the ability and empathy to understand both the family needs as well as the responsibilities of giving valued care to each client.

I have been focused on my academic pursuits, obtaining my certificate, learning, and developing my skills to be an effective, and compassionate PSW. Finishing top of my class and more specifically receiving positive feedback from my teacher as well as my mentors from both placement sites has validated my decision in choosing this career path.

I am confident I will be an asset to your Team as I am genuine, nurturing, empathetic, professional, and driven. Which I maintain is an essential combination for people in this field. My abilities include communication and observation with proficiency in time-management. Collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds has provided me with a deep understanding and awareness of differences in both individuals and organizations.

I understand when looking at my resume I do not have a lot of past experience, but I can tell you I am committed, caring and very dependable.
