I am pursuing a my CPA designation and seeking to obtain a full time job to further develop my technical knowledge and professional experience.
During my Co-op term at PwC, I have developed diverse skills through my experience working on multiple different engagement teams on a variety of clients ranging from Oil and Gas, Aviation Groups, and Technology. I have taken on challenges to improve my analytical skills such as being responsible for substantial testing and being the main point-of-contact within a SOX Audit. Due to staffing shortages, I took on additional duties to help my team meet its deadlines. This demonstrates my leadership abilities as well as being able to work as a team to collectively overcome unexpected obstacles and constraints. As a co-op student, I delivered results effectively by planning and allocating the correct time required, relying on controls that don't possess potential financial risks and creating efficient testing procedures.
My experience as a Style Advisor at Aritzia has allowed me to gain strong interpersonal skills as I had to quickly and accurately cater a recommendation to each customer’s unique needs. I have exceeded personal sales targets which contributed to a 10% increase in store-wide Q3 sales, while demonstrating excellent teamwork and motivational skills. My ability to work as a team player and attention to detail are some elements that allow me to develop and cultivate different skills I learn.
I have earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting from The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) and am currently enrolled with the CPA Western School of Business in the CPA PEP Program.
