I have around 4 years experience developing code in C, from small scale microcontroller-based projects at startups, to contributing to a large Linux based project with Sierra Wireless.
Technologies and Switch Materials, I was able to get hands on experience working on all aspects of small-scale embedded projects, including test circuit breadboarding, PCB layout and assembly, firmware workflow design and implementation, and controller enclosure and demo unit design and fabrication. Through my time at Sierra Wireless, I have gained experience navigating and contributing to a large Linux-based codebase, managing/reviewing changes with Git/Gerrit, and tracking tickets with Jira. I also gained exposure to software such as Jenkins and Docker, increased my comfort with command line use, and in general gained valuable insight into how large projects are managed.
In my free time, I am working on my C++ skills to further supplement my experience.
I have an undergraduate degree in Engineering Physics from Queen's University, Kingston, ON.
