As a host my responsibilities primarily included greeting guests creating a welcoming environment for their dining experience, and within in a timely manner, seating guests, bussing tables, maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant, making reservations using opentable, evenly distributing a guest to server ratio, and performing any extra helpful duties. A significant part in my role is also answering emails, and phone calls to make reservations and answer questions about our restaurants and special dining events. As an In Room Dining Server I manage the department with responsibilities including: answering guests phone calls, taking orders, communicating with guests, management, and our culinary team individualizing each In Room Dining experience.
I prepare and pick up each order from our culinary team and deliver each order to the guests hoping to dine in the comfort of their own room. I perform tasks including polishing, floor walks, clearing table/ trays, managing allergies, balancing online orders, phone calls, and delivering orders. As I perform my tasks I do so in an efficient and professional manner by following our LQA standards.

As a host working for the Fairmont Chateau on Lake Louise my responsibilities primarily included greeting guests within in a timely manner, seating guests, bussing tables, circulating glassware, maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant, making reservations, using opentable, evenly distributing a guest to server ratio, and performing any extra helpful duties. Working at one of the top tourist attractions in Canada I have learned to function quickly and efficiently in high stress situations, as well as communicate clearly in difficult situations. Additionally working for the Fairmont Chateau I remained flexible in my availability to be trained and work in multiple restaurants and departments.
I have a variety of experience from working in fine dining to more casual environments as well as being able to perform multiple roles, such as a banquet server, food porter, dining reservations agent, and in room dining server.
