My name is Christian Butterfield (b. 1995), and after several years working as a full-time artist, I am now seeking a job in cleaning. I’ve been represented by Corkin Gallery since 2018 and have participated in numerous exhibitions, including a solo show just last month. While my art career has been fulfilling, the reality of inconsistent income in Toronto makes long-term planning difficult, especially with loved ones relying on me.
I bring with me a strong work ethic, an eye for detail, and a dedication to my craft—traits I believe will translate well into any job. I’m a fast learner, whether it’s adapting to new systems, mastering tasks quickly, or stepping into new responsibilities. Additionally, standing at 6'2" and 170lbs, I’m physically fit and capable of handling demanding tasks that require strength, stamina, or endurance.
Whether it’s lifting, organizing, or working long hours, I’m ready to take on whatever the role demands.
I’m excited to bring my reliability, physical stamina, and quick learning ability to a new opportunity. Thank you for considering my application—I look forward to discussing how I can contribute to your team.

Being an artist in Toronto, I’ve navigated the challenges of inconsistent income and the realities of balancing creative work with the business side of things. Despite these challenges, I’ve managed to build a reputation in the local art community and have worked hard to maintain a successful career. Art sales can be unpredictable, and while I've avoided the "starving artist" stereotype, it has taught me the importance of resilience, adaptability, and constant learning.
Throughout my time as a self-employed artist, I’ve developed strong problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a dedication to continuous improvement. I’m incredibly proud of the work I’ve done and the relationships I’ve built, and I’m excited to see where my artistic journey takes me next. however I've realized I need a secondary more reliable income.
I attended art school at Centennial in their fine arts program. I left after two years due to receiving a professional artistic opportunity and getting representation by a contemporary art gallery in Toronto.
