I'm currently studying at the Burnaby campus of Simon Fraser University. I am in my first year at the moment, pursuing an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology while studying languages as well and hope to find a job to support myself with during my studies.
I've been working in customer service for a number of years now and generally consider myself to be a very sociable and outgoing. I enjoy working with customers, have never had any conflict with coworkers and would overall say I work well with people. I am a quick learner and do not hesitate to clarify and ask questions as to assure the highest quality of work and consider myself to be diligent and hard-working employee.
A majority of my professional experience has been in customer service, specifically in the food industry. While I had worked in small jobs such as babysitting, clerical work, etc. before, when I was 15 I began bussing tables and serving food at a local bar, The Rum Runner. This was my first introduction to working with customers and in the service and hospitality industry.
After this job, I began working in a local cafe, The Cherry on Top Bakery and Koffie Shop, as a barista and I've continued working at this cafe intermittently since. During the last two years of my education I have been living abroad and therefore have not been able to work during the school year however have continued expanding my experience in coffee and customer service during the summers.
I am entering my first year of my post-secondary education at the moment, pursuing a BA in Psychology at the academic institution Simon Fraser University. Previous to this, I was completing the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at the Italy campus of the United World Colleges, after having completed the Alberta High School Diploma up to the grade 11 level. I have always been a fairly academic kid, receiving Honours in my grade group most of my life and always having been a disciplined and determined worker.
