Craig Barnikis

I have 25 years of Editorial Experience, with the last 5 involving Mentoring younger, fresh talent. I have worked in all mediums from Animation to Reality to Scripted Drama. I have a broad range of software capabilities to achieve my editorial goals and am looking to further my role as a Senior Advisor to younger talents.

In my 25 years of Editing, I have worked in all mediums, from Animation to Scripted Television to Reality Programming. I have been a Creative Editor (Offline) as well as a Technical Editor (Online) and have even cut Storyboards for productions. I have worked for major corporations such as Technicolor and 9Story/Scholastic, and also boutique facilities such as RedLab and CreativePost.

I have flourished with producers and directors siting in the room with me, as well as excelling at delegating my own creative choices, while working alone. Most recently I have spent the last 5 years training and mentoring younger editors to be confident enough to work on their own in a broadcast studio environment. No task is too grand, and no challenge is met without my strongest efforts.

My years of experience have given me the confidence to be able to predict every bump in the road before it happens, and to be able to plan ahead of time for a smooth and pleasant journey to your product delivery.

Outside of independently continuing to learn new software and hardware that pertains to my occupation, I completed the 3 year Media Arts Program at Sheridan College in 1999. Since then I have attended many seminars, “boot camps” and shadowed other operators to keep my skills and talents as current and relevant as possible.
