Muhammad Danish Nu'man Ismail is a Process Safety and Functional Safety Engineer with more than 8 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, covering both upstream and downstream operations. His experience spans operational process safety, Management of Change (MoC), incident and LOPC investigations, asset integrity management, shutdown risk assessments, and process safety governance. He has led and supported numerous safety studies such as HAZOP, HAZID, QRA, Bowtie, FERA, EERA, SIMOPS, and SIL assessments for leading operators including PETRONAS, Shell, ADNOC, QatarEnergy, Hess, PTTEP, and Kuwait Oil Company.
His background includes both plant-level safety leadership and consultancy roles involving risk modeling, safety case development, engineering reviews, and stakeholder management.
Danish holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Chemical Engineering with a Major in Plant Process Optimisation from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). He is also a Registered Graduate Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and has further strengthened his expertise through professional certifications in Functional Safety Engineering (TÜV Rheinland), OPITO Tropical BOSIET, Basic H2S, and Well Control Awareness.
