Hi! I’m Danyal, and I’m currently pursuing a Police Foundations program, where I’m developing a solid understanding of law enforcement principles, public safety, and security procedures. As a recent high school graduate, I’m eager to gain hands-on experience in the security industry, which will help me build the necessary skills to achieve my ultimate goal of becoming a police officer with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
My education has equipped me with the knowledge of security protocols, crisis management, and effective communication, all of which I’m excited to apply in a security role. Working with your company would allow me to further develop these skills in real-world scenarios while contributing to maintaining a safe and secure environment. I’m committed, observant, and passionate about public safety, and I’m looking forward to using this experience as a stepping stone in my career path toward law enforcement with the OPP.
I have a diverse background in both retail and stock management.
Frills, where I worked as a Product Stocker from August 2022 to February 2023, I was responsible for stocking and rotating products, handling inventory with care, and managing heavy lifting. This role helped me develop attention to detail and physical stamina. Following that, I worked as a Sales Associate at West49 from March 2023 to August 2024, where I honed my customer service skills, assisted with product selection, maintained store cleanliness, and supported loss prevention efforts.
In both positions, I gained valuable experience in teamwork, organization, and customer interaction.
I am currently enrolled in a Police Foundations program, which provides me with a comprehensive understanding of law enforcement, criminal justice, and public safety. Through this program, I have gained exceptional legal knowledge, including areas such as criminal law, investigation techniques, and conflict resolution. The curriculum has also given me practical insights into ethical decision-making, security protocols, and community policing.
This education equips me with the critical thinking and legal expertise necessary to effectively handle real-world security situations and to pursue a career in law enforcement with the OPP.
