I lived in Singapore with my family and worked in the Singapore office for approximately four months during the 1995 renewal season. After that, I continued to support the Asia Pacific operation by continuing to travel extensively throughout the region to such locations as Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea, Australia and Viet Nam, for an average of 3 to 4 weeks out of every quarter.

• During my employment with Reinsurance Management Associates, Inc. (RMA), I established business relationships with The Toa Reinsurance Company, Japan, Korean Reinsurance Company, South Korea and GIC, India and negotiated formal underwriting agreements with these reinsurers for RMA to underwrite life, accident & health reinsurance business for these three reinsurers, with many ceding companies in Canada and the U.S.A. This involved regular travel to and from Toa Re’s office in Tokyo and to and from Korean Re’s office in Seoul, and I frequently accompanied senior representatives of these two reinsurers to visit ceding companies in Canada and the U.S.A.
