I began my career as a PSW 14 years ago. I am very passionate about my work because I enjoy doing what I do. This passion has lead me to challenge myself and to take different courses. I have taken a Fundamentals course to have the understanding and the ability to work with clients who are palliative. I have taken a few other courses to help me to become more knowledgeable and to have an understanding of some of my clients and to meet their needs to the best of my ability.
I have worked in a LTC for about a year and assisted living home care for 5 years. I have been working in th community for the past 8 year, I enjoy working with seniors in the communities.
i have a lot of experience some eg, hoyer lifts , ceiling lifts, ADLs ,AiDLs, some supervision of Physical exercises that Physio therapist recommends. Meal preparation, bed to chair transfers, housekeeping and laundry.
