I am a Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) graduate with hands-on clinical placement experience in long-term care and enhanced care facilities, including Bissett Court, Arborstone Enhanced Care, and Northwood Long-Term Care in Nova Scotia. During my training, I assisted residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility, and safe transfers using mechanical lifts and mobility aids. I also gained experience supporting residents with oxygen therapy, urinary catheters, fall prevention, and maintaining safety and infection control protocols. In addition, I worked as a Companion with Golden Connections Transport, providing safe mobility assistance, emotional support, and compassionate care to clients.

I completed the Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) program at Oxford International Career Colleges in Halifax, Nova Scotia, from July 2025 to January 2026. During this time, I successfully completed all academic and clinical requirements of the program and satisfactorily passed the Nova Scotia CCA Provincial Examination. The program provided me with comprehensive training in resident care, including assisting with activities of daily living, safe mobility and transfers, infection control, and compassionate support for individuals in long-term care and healthcare settings.
