I'm a co-founder and the Chief Operating Officer at Amplytica, a Canadian biotechnology company that provides microbiome testing and analysis services to industries that involve systems carried out by microorganisms such as water systems, soil and groundwater remediation, mining, and biogas production.
We offer a range of services to help companies understand the complex microbial communities that exists in environments, how to harness the organisms for a healthier environment or enhance a bio-process, and consult on study design and data interpretation.
I started the company shortly after acquiring a Master of Science degree in Biology at the University of Waterloo with a former colleague. Our goal is to help industries apply nature-based solutions as they adopt sustainable practices and transition into a low carbon footprint organization and build a software platform that would implement machine learning algorithms to better understand complex microbial communities inhabiting complex industrial systems.
