I work hard to ensure that my approach to my work goes beyond my job description, as I am always looking for ways to improve efficiency and productivity. I am a performance-focused individual with proven expertise in conceptualizing and preparing communications and literary lesson plans that are suitable for each learner’s style and interest.
As well, as a skilled educator, I understand the importance of simplifying difficult concepts for students. I excel at encouraging students to think “outside of the box” while teaching them how to apply critical discernment with robust applications of creative insight in all of their work. My skills and experience have allowed me to inspire students through purposeful education in a student-centred learning environment.
Currently I work as a partial load professor at Sheridan College teaching, both online and in person, Communications and Literature courses, which I structure around modes of critical thought. In addition, I am a tech-savvy, dynamic, highly organized, and multifaceted education professional with over 16 years of experience teaching students across various disciplines with emphasis on writing skills, communications, and liberal studies.
I have a Master of Arts degree in English Literature and a Master of Education degree specializing in Curriculum Design. I also hold an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History as well as a Bachelor of Education degree. I am a fully licenced OCT with English and History teachables.
