My name is Fabio Rabouille, 23 years old, and I am in the middle of a professional transition. After obtaining a Bachelor's degree in International Studies at the University of Montreal, I decided that political science was not the right path for me. Being passionate about photography and cinema since childhood, I decided to go for it.
But despite my late decision to reorient myself, I am not a total stranger to the profession. I created a photographic association in high school with which I carried out small contracts for press books and events. When I arrived in Montreal, I continued my activities as a freelancer, shooting portraits for private individuals. I did the same work in Spain during my stay.
I graduated from Udem in December 2021, and have since completed a 5 month course in "Introduction to Photography Direction" at AFILM International Workshop, in Sitges, not far from Barcelona. These courses allowed me to acquire a better understanding of the equipment available (camera, lights, grips etc.) but also of the organization of a film set as well as the roles of everyone. After this Spanish experience, I went back to France for a quarter where I worked as a production assistant and set photographer for Loula Production in the southwest of France.
This work was part of the shooting of "Lo rèi que s'escon" (The king hides), a short film commissioned by a local television. Finally, I had the chance to shoot my own short film in Montreal (in post-production), written and directed by me.
I would like to add that, whether it's for Portrait or Landscape, I use Lightroom and Photoshop daily, and for a long time now, to retouch my work which has allowed me to acquire great skills in the use of these two softwares. I also use Adobe Premier Pro for audiovisual purposes.
Finally, I would like to point out that in addition to French, I also speak English and Spanish, and that I have a class 5 driver's license.
Sincerely.
