Faisal Ahmed

Hi everyone, my name is Faisal Ahmed, and I am expected to be entering my fourth year of Finance in September. I am a determined student who loves everything regarding Finance, including financial analysis, options trading, cryptocurrency, etc. I like to explore and learn about different sectors, as it helps expand my knowledge in this ever-changing world. I am aspiring to one day complete my CFA and become a Chartered Financial Analyst.

My professional experience is a blend of front-facing jobs and back-end jobs. I have been a server at Red Lobster for most of my education, and this has helped me vastly improve my social skills and learn how to network in an area that does not relate to my education. On the other side, my backend jobs include an internship at Greatway Financial that I began in May of 2025.

It has helped me learn aspects of both Finance and Accounting. I have had opportunities to analyze financial statements and see where the company can improve. Alongside this, I have gotten experience on the accounting side as well and I have been able to perform daily bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger using Sage, improving financial reporting accuracy by 100%.

I have three years of education in Finance, and I am currently on my way to enter my fourth year in the fall semester. I have taken classes regarding futures and options, security risk and investments, corporate finance, and portfolio management. These classes have helped me analyze the financial sector on both a small and a large scale, as I may be looking at a company from a wide scope and analyzing their financial statements or looking at a specific portion in a company on a small scope and observing what they can do to improve.
