Fritz Gerald Roco

I am a self-motivated person with more than eighteen (18) years of experience at sea as a Mariner. I experienced working in different kinds of weather, environment, and worked with multinational personnel.I would like to start again in a land-based job in order for me to be with my family. I believe that even though I do not have direct experience in land-based job that I am applying for, my motivation, adaptability, great work ethic, and strong desire to learn make me a valuable candidate for the position.

I worked as a deck cadet in Laurin Maritime Philippines Inc. which was owned by a Swedish family from 2005 until they sold the company to Team Tankers Inc. in 2018. I acted as senior officer, Chief Officer during my stay in Team Tankers until the company dissolved in 2021. I continued my profession in Status Maritime Corp. under Seaworld Management owned by the Greek Company until 2023.

During my seafarer days, I was assigned to multiple kinds of jobs such as maintenance, de-rusting, painting, handling chemicals, cleaning, connecting and disconnecting pipes for cargo transfer operation, operating ship’s crane, winches, centrifugal pumps and other ship equipment and maintenance-related works. For the last four years of my career as a chief officer on board ship, I honed my management skill in handling the crews in doing maintenance and operation works. I developed strong communication skills by talking to different kinds of people and nationality in every port for cargo operations and doing a lot of paperwork and documentation.

I graduated from the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific in BS Marine Transportation on the year 2004.

I mentioned various training in my resume that upgraded my skills and reach the position of a chief officer on board ship.
