MACHINIST / LATHE OPERATOR - BAHRAIN STEEL COMPANY
- Operates all machines, and manual grinders to produce locomotive and transit assemblies.
- Use precision gauges and instruments such as micrometers to determine and follow customer's specifications
- Maintain specifications by observing, drilling, grooving and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting process, adjusting and reprogramming control, sharpening and replacing worn tools, adhering to quality assurance procedures and process.
- Will measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Clean, lubricates and makes minor adjustments or replacement to machine, may assist in repairs
- Follows all safety rules and practices

- Performing in all machines like Lathe machine, Radial drilling. Shaping Tool, Cutter and Grinding.
- Performing all type of technical work in the factory.
- Sets up and operates production machines to cut, bend, straight, or form parts as specified by blueprints, lay up sequence or templates.

- Mechanical fault finding checking rectifying the function of the Parts in the Machines
- Execute the bench machine, hand tool work in shaping, fitting and assembling machine parts from metal stock.
- Dismantled and inspected components and adjusted, repaired them as necessary.

- Gauged and maintained tolerances on grinding diameters, depths, squares, and parallelism.
- Fabricate tools, jigs, and fixtures to meet manufacturing and engineering needs.
