Geoffrey Spencer

I am a senior software developer and system analyst with 20+ years of experience with reliability clearance and being fully vaccinated. My hearing disabilities have never affected my abilities to communicate one-on-one or virtually using real-time captioning in Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. I can work both independently and collaboratively with teammates on many challenging projects. I demonstrated repeatedly that I am a quick learner of any technology.

I have worked for almost 30 years as a senior software and web developer for various companies like IBM Canada, Nova Networks, the Canadian Nurses Association, and West Carleton Family Health. I can develop in various languages like Microsoft C# MVC Razor, JavaScript, jQuery, and ReactJS. In the past, I worked with C++ and Java.

I also can work in SQL Server and MySQL, and I have worked briefly in Oracle. I communicated to stakeholders to gather business requirements before leading a small group to develop technical documents using the Agile-lite process. I also lead small teams in the development of applications and their maintenance.

I acquired my Bachelor of Computer Science, Software with Honours from Carleton University in June of 1995.
