Gordon Rowe

Raised in Toronto Ontario, Gordon Rowe has always had a fondness for drawing. Heavily influenced by music, sports, animation, pop and hip-hop, Rowe gathers his inspiration from culture and personal experience.

Rowe utilizes softwares such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Procreate to create meaningful, handcrafted pieces that capture an incredible balance of textures, abstraction, and hyper-realism. Gordon Rowe has collaborated with Dreamville, Toronto Raptors and Tuff Gong Worldwide and has had the opportunity to work with remarkable clients and artist such as Ziggy and Orly Marley, Black Men’s Style Toronto, Benny Bing, Earthgang of Dreamville Records and Cantrell. Since beginning his career as an independent illustrator, Rowe has consistently been well equipped to problem solve on behalf of his high profile clients by creating meaningful and memorable pieces.

Currently, Rowe is looking to grow his client base and and build long lasting relationships with clients and audiences alike.

I have been been working as a freelance illustrator for the past 9 years. Working primarily in entertainment I have worked on album artwork and release campaigns with several record labels including Interscope, Dreamville and Shady Records. I have illustrated a kids book with Tuff Gong and Ziggy Marley which included character designing, storyboarding, graphic design and illustration. I have worked with the Toronto Raptors and OVO through the Welcome Toronto Creators program where I was one of three selected among 500+ applicants to be a part of the Toronto Raptors brand and work amongst their creative team providing illustrations and designs for several projects.

I attended Sheridan Colleges art Fundamentals and BA Animation program.
