Responsible for the software products development and the strategy required to implement the solutions roadmap defined by the organization while maintaining permanent interaction with the Underwriting and Operations teams to capture and define product requirements and with Marketing for rollouts and go-to-market.
Lead the development of the business digitalization strategy, including responsibility for Developer Productivity, Infrastructure Engineering, and Cloud Engineering, while ensuring the implementation of Cloud solutions (AWS Amplify, Amazon Cognito, Amazon API Gateway, AWS Lambda, AWS Step Function, and Amazon Dynamo DB) and open-source software (Angular, React, Node Js, Open API) to support overall strategic direction, software commercialization, and customer delivery.
Assess, adapt, expand and integrate Liberty Mutual North America software solutions into the overall Canadian technology strategy, promoting the reuse of enterprise assets and evolving SaaS products in collaboration with the Underwriting, Marketing, and Operations departments, emphasizing the business opportunities provided by the public cloud.
Drive planning and execution for all development and quality assurance activities, working with Product Owners to ensure the Product Roadmap's on-time delivery.
Deploy the Lean Portfolio Management approach related to product/portfolio development, and educate/advocate for the Agile approach within the organization.
Execute Agile development practices, including sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives, and ensure the team is adhering to best practices while mentoring developers to improve skills and ensure high employee engagement.
