Highly motivated healthcare professional with 4+ years' experience in patient care and meticulous record-keeping (BHSc, uOttawa) seeking to leverage skills in a future-focused role that merges patient well-being, healthcare team efficiency, and advancements in healthcare technology.
I currently work at the Queensway Carleton Hospital as an Administrative Control Clerk for the Day Surgery Department. In this position I am actively working on the experience of patients undergoing through surgical procedures, either elective or emergency cases, from their initial registration through final discharge. This position requires me to coordinate and communicate between the surgeons, nurses, management, other hospital staff, the patients, and their relatives.
This experience is part of my continuous journey through the healthcare system, aiming to become a future Bioinformatics Specialist and Healthcare Administrator. I aspire to design and implement digital healthcare products that improve patient care and operational efficiency. My long-term goals include becoming a Part-Time Professor at a university, working for or running a business focused on Digital Healthcare Products, and creating my own digital solutions to enhance global healthcare. I am focused on the completion of my Honors Bachelors degree of Health Sciences from the University of Ottawa. Alongside this degree, I will be receiving the Specialization of Health Technology; Innovations in healthcare, Specialization of Population and Public Health, Minor degree of Nursing and the Minor degree of Computer Science.
My future plans involve, completing a Master's degree in Bioinformatics or Public Health Administration, and following up with a PHD in the degree.
