As Havisha was growing up, the vivid colours and many cultures of her native Mauritius surrounded her. Her early fascination with the island's pristine waters, verdant tropical woods,
and breathtaking coral reefs stemmed from her admiration for its natural beauty. Havisha started experimenting with various mediums and styles as she grew older and realised how dedicated she was about the arts. She discovered that she was especially drawn to painting portraits because she was fascinated with the process of expressing a subject's soul and essence on canvas. Her ability to capture the distinct personalities and feelings of her subjects, coupled with meticulous attention to detail, is what sets her work apart. Havisha still has a strong attachment to her own country and the setting that initially motivated her to pursue painting. Her paintings have a certain warmth and liveliness that comes from her constant inspiration of Mauritius's natural beauty and cultural legacy.
