At SMMH, I have enjoyed many opportunities for professional growth and skill development. I have held the position of a Resource Nurse, OBS Nurse and Critical Care Nurse. I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of departments providing nursing care and support to many areas including the FCC (Family Centered Care), the ICU, the Medical-Surgical department, Telemetry as well as the ED.

As a Resource Nurse I was responsible for providing support to regularly scheduled staff in all departments, covering sick calls and working in an assignment or, floating between the departments. I also work in the role of Lead Nurse and Bed Allocator. I am currently in the OBS department full time however, as a rural facility with relatively low census in Labour and Delivery I consistently provide care for patients of all ages with any illness, condition or injury in my department or other departments.

I am fortunate enough to be able to utilize the full spectrum of my skill set in my practice on a routine basis. I am well practiced in providing biological, psychological, social and spiritual care to a myriad of patients across all age groups with diverse backgrounds.
