At SMMH, I have enjoyed many opportunities for professional growth and skill development. I have held the position of a Resource Nurse, OBS Nurse and Critical Care Nurse. I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of departments providing nursing care and support to many areas including the FCC (Family Centered Care), the ICU, the Medical-Surgical department, Telemetry as well as the ED.
As a Resource Nurse I was responsible for providing support to regularly scheduled staff in all departments, covering sick calls and working in an assignment or, floating between the departments. My primary responsibility in this position was to provide medical management for the purpose of detoxification and rehabilitation to individuals suffering from addiction and concurrent disorders.
