I am an English teacher from Toronto, Canada. Some of my favorite activities are biking, hiking, swimming, and kayaking. I am enthusiastic, patient, creative, loving, and caring … I am a cheerful person with a positive attitude in life.
Furthermore, I got a bachelor's degree. My major is the English Language. I also got many certifications, including TESOL, TEFL, mindful teaching, English pronunciation, and classroom management. In addition, I have 13 years of expertise teaching in a classroom.
In addition, I've spent the last five years teaching English to speakers of other languages (online -ESL). Additionally, I have been working in the YMCA as a supervisor (Child care centers). I also published 2 grammar books for grades 1 and grade 2.
I would like to teach the basics of English, such as reading, writing, phonics, speaking composition, grammar, and sentence structure rules. However, I would also like to teach students how to pronounce words correctly. Increase the use of technology as a teaching tool in the classroom.
Develop students' verbal skills, including reading aloud, discussion, and debate develop students' writing skills teach grammar and punctuation, vocabulary and word usage, and other principles of the English language. On the other hand, I am passionate about teaching and try to provide an individual approach to each child in order to help them make the most success possible. I enjoy my job and seeing my students grow and improve as individuals gives me a great sense of achievement.
However, to demonstrate my teaching points, I like to use group exercises, colorful PowerPoint presentations, flashcards, word cards, TPR which means total physical response, and even films when available. My teaching philosophy is based on the principles of 'I do, We do, You do.' This means that the teacher shows the students how to do something, they participate in the lesson with the teacher, and then they apply what they've learned on their own. My mission is to make learning enjoyable, educational, engaging, and interesting
