- Drive the continual improvement of the company’s Health and Safety and Dangerous
Goods department Canada wide at the provincial and federal level.
- Ensure that all Safety and Dangerous Goods policies, Standard Operating Procedures
(SOP) updates are communicated, and implemented as needed in every office,
warehouse and on the road.
- Ensure that any provincial and federal policies changes with respect to Safety and
Dangerous Goods are reflected on our internal policies and implemented by employees
- Coordinate with the warehouse managers, team leaders, and forklift drivers to ensure that goods are properly secured and safely stored in the warehouse
- Investigate incidents and near misses in the offices and warehouses, with the goal of finding the root cause and solutions to avoid future ones.
- As a dangerous Goods Specialist, we work with the warehouse to ensure that goods transported, distributed and stored are done in accordance to the code and transportation requirements (air, sea or land)
- Inspect and document pre-trip inspection for all material handling equipment (MHE) daily, as well as drivers driving records on a bi-annual basis to ensure that all is in good standing.
- Coordinate Joint health and safety meetings, training and certification for first aid personnel,
as well as joint health and safety committee members.
- Coordinate emergency response drills on a bi-annual basis, to ensure that employees are versed with the procedure and what to do in case of an emergency.
- Liaise with Human Resources to submit incident claims to WSIB, Work Safe BC CNESST in
Quebec and ensure that employees are paid on time
- Coordinated the distribution of personal protective equipment in Canada during Covid-19, as well as its proper use and ensured that policies and recommendation were adhered to by employees to mitigate the spread.
- Translate all safety manuals, SOP and documents related to health and safety into French, to ease communication within the different regions.
- Act as liaison between Canada, and the US with respect to safety and Dangerous goods issues,
to ensure that information sent from the corporate office is properly and promptly disseminated to every department in Canada.

- Drive the continual improvement of the company Environmental Management System to support Legal Compliance, Pollution Prevention, and Continuous Improvement
- Support the site and product sustainability programs.
- Provide management with advice on solutions to problems affecting the design,
construction, and installation of the gas cylinders and projects, and support the organizational Process Review program. Example is putting protective caps on high pressure cylinders to prevent injury should a valve escape from the cylinder.
- Make sure Personal Protective Equipment are put on by employees as required. Examples are those working in the warehouse and the gas filling stations at the plant. Who constantly need to have gloves, still toe shoes and other devices to avoid getting injured if an incident occurred.
- Make sure all hazards are identified and taken care of such as (Fire, Electrical, Spill, slip and falls, confine space, Stationary Equipment). By doing Monthly expectations at the plant and the office, and reporting on any issues identified.
- Safety meetings are held after inspections to deliberate on issues found and a report is written outlining suggestions, solutions, and preventive measures put in place to avoid re-
occurrence in future.
- Lead internal audits of plant facilities and recommend action for deficiencies to ensure compliance with all company, municipal, provincial and federal environmental, health and safety standards.
- Make sure Contractors, visitors as well as Linde employees had the necessary on boarding with respect to health and safety and compliance and Exit routes before they start work.
- Monthly, quarterly and Yearly reports are written with respect to near misses and accidents that occurred, as well suggestions and measures taken for each incident or accident.
- Ensured that drivers have appropriate document for their vehicles, and that the cars are inspected before they are loaded for the road trip.
- Ensured that vehicles were properly stationed during loading to avoid collision with oncoming ones as well as personnel
- Preventive measures during cylinder loading are constantly done to avoid accidents.

Example the chalking of tires to prevent the vehicle from rolling when parked.
- Evacuation drills are conducted once every three months by the committee members to see how fast the company can evacuate in case of an incident.

- Provided local environmental support for ongoing operations and projects as well as for other related issues by helping identify and resolve environmental issues and risks. Such as Mold found in buildings and recommending that the situation be remedied before proceeding with any water installations.
- Ensured systems were maintained for accurate and timely regulatory compliance and corporate reporting (monthly, annually, incident).
- Making sure that every quote and project carried out was documents, including projects declined by the company and the reason for the rejection.
- Liaised with regulatory agencies for environmental permits and regulatory issues. Example is making sure that the company requiring water installation systems had a permit to do so from the government and had met the standard required by the government.
- All necessary documents for the project were revised and saved on the customer file for future reference and also submitted to the regulatory agencies during inspections.
- Supported or led the investigation of serious environmental incidents to determine causes and develop recommendations. Such as water leaking and damaging property during installations of our systems.
- Collected Water and soil samples for analysis and to determine which filter will be installed on the site. The company hired Maxxam Analytics to collect and analyze water samples, to determine the water composition of the area which was then used to determine which water filters and other accessories where needed for each location. The results of the analysis were documented and also submitted to the company in question.
- Supervised and inspected the installation and removal of water filters, water coolers, and reverse osmosis systems for companies like Target and Wal-Mart
- Coordinated the Purchases of environmentally friendly, highly efficient, and highly recyclable materials from clients like Everpure, to minimize health and environmental

hazard, increase corporate profit and enhance sustainable development programs.
- Documented all processes from purchases of material to installation, removal and deposition of non-recyclable material. This was used to establish monthly and quarterly reports that are presented to the board.

2004-2009
- Assessed pollution of the Schwarze River of the Lauchammer mine region. Collected information through historic literature review, government offices, site visits, and questioned owners of the adjacent properties.
- Collected soil sample by digging soil profiles using an auger and acid mine drainage water samples were collected from the top, middle, and bottom of the river and monitoring wells.
- The soil and water samples were field sorted and submitted to the accredited university laboratory for analyses of metal, inorganic, benzene, toluene, polyaromatic hydrocarbon,
calcium oxides, and hydroxides, ammonia, and metal oxides.
- Analyses of the water were done using Batch Reactions and Fluid dynamic systems in the
Laboratory and compared to federal and regional standards.
- Mild oxidizing agents of different concentrations were reacted with the acid mine drainage water to determine the optimum deposition of iron sulphide sludge, and reduce the acidity of the water
- A report on the extend of soil and water pollution findings, recommendations and conclusions were prepared and submitted to the University and German ministry of the environment
