Hussain Saifee

Hello, my name is Hussain Saifee, and I am a 3rd-year computer science student at York University. As a former web developer with Walk with Web and a current student Recruitment Ambassador, I have a passion for creating engaging web experiences and helping others discover the exciting world of computer science.

Throughout my time as a web developer, I have gained extensive experience in front and back-end development, specializing in tools such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Angular JS, and React JS. I have worked on a variety of projects, ranging from small personal websites to complex web applications, and I am always looking for new challenges to improve my skills and knowledge.

As a student Recruitment Ambassador, I am dedicated to sharing my passion for computer science with others and helping them discover the many opportunities available in this field. I love connecting with prospective students, sharing my experiences, and answering their questions about the program and life at York University.

Looking ahead, I have several exciting projects in the works, including a new web application that I am developing using React JS. I am also exploring opportunities to collaborate with other students and industry professionals to gain new insights and expand my skill set.

In my free time, I enjoy staying active by hiking, playing sports, and exploring the city. I am also an avid reader and enjoy delving into books on a variety of topics, including technology, science, and philosophy.

I am a web developer with experience in writing efficient and well-designed code using best software development practices. Throughout my career, I have integrated data from various back-end services and databases, constructed web designs and pages using UI/UX frameworks, and coded and formatted websites using standard HTML, CSS, SQL, and PHP practices. I have also written and reviewed code for sites using HTML, XML, and JavaScript, and developed tools for data visualization, integrating designs using Python and ReactJS.

Alongside my web development work, I also serve as a student recruitment ambassador. In this role, I utilize websites and social media to promote campus life, events, and opportunities, and develop marketing efforts like posters and social media ads to encourage student participation in campus events. I organize private and public events for the college community, and host programs to connect students with non-student neighbors.

I am passionate about using my skills and knowledge to create engaging experiences and promote the benefits of higher education.
