Irene Kan

I’m a Vancouver-based VFX Production Assistant and 3D Lighting Artist with 2 years of experience in animated series streamed on Netflix, YouTube, and Disney. I recently completed the Warner Bros. Discovery Access VFX Coordinator Training Program, which strengthened my skills in scheduling, tracking, and supporting artist teams in high-paced production environments.

My strengths include active listening, clear communication, and a supportive mindset. I value collaboration and always aim to be the bridge between artists and clients to ensure smooth creative workflows.

I’m passionate about storytelling, lighting, and helping teams bring animated worlds to life. I’m looking for production coordination or lighting opportunities within animation and VFX studios.

I worked as a 3D Lighting and Compositing Artist in the animation industry for almost 2 years, contributing to projects for Netflix, YouTube, and the Disney Junior channel. My responsibilities included lighting, render optimization, and troubleshooting in a team-based production environment.

In 2024–2025, I completed the Warner Bros. Discovery Access Canada VFX Coordinator Training Program, where I gained hands-on experience in production workflows, scheduling, and supporting artists in fast-paced environments.

I also have over 5 years of retail experience at Winners, including a leadership role in markdown planning and floor operations. This strengthened my communication, time management, and multitasking skills.

I completed the Warner Bros. Discovery Access Canada VFX Coordinator Training Program (2024–2025), focused on VFX production coordination and industry workflows.

I also studied 3D animation and visual effects at Vancouver Film School. I learned tools such as Katana, Maya, Nuke, and V-Ray, and developed a strong foundation in animation production.
