I have a keen interest in the fields of data analysis, analytics, and cryptography. I find the process of gathering, interpreting, and drawing insights from large sets of data to be both challenging and rewarding. Similarly, I am drawn to using data to inform business decisions or improve performance through analytics.
Additionally, I am fascinated by the complex algorithms and techniques used in cryptography to ensure secure communication of information. To pursue my interest in these fields, I understand that a strong foundation in mathematics and computer science is necessary. Ultimately, I aspire to work in roles that involve analyzing data to improve decision-making, developing and implementing secure communication systems, or using data to optimize business performance.
I believe that with my passion and dedication, I have the potential to make significant contributions in these exciting and constantly evolving areas.
I am a second-year co-op student at the University of Toronto with a focus on Mathematics and its applications in Statistics and Probability, while also minoring in Computer Science. I possess technical skills in R, SQL, Python, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Office, with experience in object-oriented programming, statistical analysis, optimization, project coursework using large data systems, data analysis using Python and Jupyter, and cryptography using RSA and Mathematica. My strong communication, problem-solving, innovation, teamworking, resilience, logical reasoning, and pattern recognition skills have been developed through my coursework and extracurricular activities.
My work experience includes curating a website for the Engineering Department of the University of Toronto and serving as a research assistant for Adrien Zakar's Cistern Project, where I was responsible for restructuring a database. Additionally, I have completed various projects such as developing a game using object-oriented programming in Python and extracting, sorting, and analyzing information from a file using Python. Outside of academics, I have actively participated in extracurricular activities such as being an analyst/coach for UofT League of Legends C team and serving as Brothers Events Director for UofT Muslim Student Association, where I organized multiple events and collaborated on brainstorming new ideas with high attendance rates.
I am a second-year co-op student at the University of Toronto, specializing in Mathematics with a focus on Statistics and Probability, and a minor in Computer Science. Throughout my academic career, I have taken courses in Statistics and Probability that have provided me with a strong theoretical background and practical application experience. I have also completed coursework in Multivariate Calculus with proofs and ODE abstract Mathematics, which have further strengthened my analytical and mathematical reasoning skills.
Overall, my education has equipped me with a solid foundation in Mathematics and its applications, which are essential for excelling in data analysis and cryptography.
