Jake Kim

Hello!

My name is Jake Kim and I'm a student at the University of Waterloo, currently in the program of Mechanical Engineering. I love learning new concepts and skills, and am very good at it too! My specialties lie in my interests to physics, CAD work and machining, and I really like meeting and talking to new people!

If you're interested in any type of music, you're in luck, because I have 7 years of experience playing the trumpet, and am a jazz fanatic.

• I have a lot of experience in CAD, especially SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD; I have made an entire assembly of a motorized golf stand with variable power control and detachable clubs in the said platforms, and have 3D/Laser Printed and machined out the parts to completely manufacture the product.
• I am part of the formula electric team of the school, a team that has won a number of competitions and is deemed the best in Canada. I worked on the design (CAD) and manufacturing of the hub and suspensions with other group members, and am currently working on Impact Absorption.

I am enrolled in the Mechanical Engineering program at the University of Waterloo as a first year, currently in my second semester of the year. I have learned a great deal of physics, engineering and math (linear algebra, calculus) and am learning materials and programming.
