About

Hello! My name is Jakob Cunningham, and I graduated with a master's degree in business administration with a focus on marketing research and strategy in 2022. While completing my degree, I had the opportunity to work at the Niagara Falls BIA to assist my local small businesses with improving their digital marketing strategy and evolving their digital services.

After this, I was able to work for the Niagara Region Public Health to revamp their branding and messaging, expand their social media reach, and help them find their direction through market research and statistical study. Post graduation, I had the opportunity to work for the City of Toronto's social services division where I conducted research on our serving population to develop a literature review that highlighted the ways we could serve our population better and inform our directors on where policy changes could be made. From here, I was promoted to a project lead role where I led a team that worked with community partners to develop social services curriculum and events to better build up their independent sustainability for the future.

I also had the chance to conduct research with the CRA and the federal government on a project related to changing our federal tax policies to better include our social service population through an improvement in ease of access to tax returns and the benefits gained from this, something that was just implemented by the government in October 2025.
