James Trotter

My name is James Trotter and I was born and raised in Toronto Ontario but now live in Beautiful Halifax Nova scotia where I am working towards my degree in Chemical Engineering. My decision to study chemical engineering was based on my love for chemistry and efficiency. When I am not studying hard I enjoy playing sports like hockey, skiing and golf and I also love gaining new experiences through meeting new people and travelling to new places.

I am not enrolled in the co-op program and have not gained any experience working in an engineering role but have experience working in industrial settings such as the food processing plant I worked at in the summer of 2022 as a member of the production team.

I am currently in my third year of the chemical engineering program. The courses I have taken since have been heavily focused on basic process design and simulation using programs such as excel, Matlab and Aspen HYSYS.
