A recent graduate of BCIT's CST - Technical Programming Diploma program (With Distinction), seeking opportunities to apply my knowledge of software development and web design in a professional setting.
During my time at BCIT, I gained experience in programming languages like Python, Java, C#, and Javascript. I have worked on 2 Industry Sponsored Projects and have experience in building Android Applications with React-Native. I also have experience in building Shopify Integrations and web scrapers. I like full-stack development. I have worked with technologies like React, Node, Express, Flask, ASP.NET, .NET MVC, Unity, Android Development in Java, MongoDB, Firebase, MySQL, and AWS DynamoDB
I have worked on industry-sponsored projects through BCIT, including a project with Love Your Planet Foundation where I added features to an existing Android application built in React-Native and created RESTful APIs using Express. This experience has allowed me to work on a team and contribute to developing a real-world project. In addition, I completed a BCIT project term at EightX Business Services, where I built a Shopify bot from Shopify’s GraphQL Admin API in Python that could automatically pull and save order data to AWS's DynamoDB and also created a REST API used to make a frontend within Google Sheets as an add-on.
These experiences have allowed me to develop the resilience and problem-solving skills required to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
As a team player, I have consistently demonstrated strong communication skills throughout my career, collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. I am highly organized and have strong attention to detail, which has enabled me to deliver projects on time and within budget.
I completed my diploma in Computer Systems Technology - Technical Programming option from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. During my time at BCIT, I gained knowledge in programming languages like Python, Java, C#, and .NET frameworks. I also learned Web development using the MERN stack and have experience developing React and React-Native applications. I also got awarded the Computer Systems Technology Award in Technical Programming for my exceptional academic performance.
