Hi, my name is Jason Lee, I'm a motion graphic designer that almost has 4 years of experience animating and designing graphics. I'm based in Ottawa but plan on moving out if the opportunity comes. I'm also a recent graduate of Algonquin College's TV Broadcasting program, during my time there I was the lead in creating graphic elements for live broadcasts for the school and for some corporate stuff. this being the case I have experience with live TV and videography.
During my time outside of school, I had the pleasure of working for many companies which taught me a lot about the workspace environment. One of the first editorial jobs I had been offered as a Video Editor position. I interned at Affinity Productions for a couple of months but it paid off, teaching me valuable lessons about how to cut clips and edit them together. I also had job experiences inside of school.
College, they had set me up for success by giving me placement jobs at Rogers as a camera operator/graphics person during Ottawa 67s games and a Remembrance Ceremony. Another job I had was to produce various Hothouse live streams for Algonquin College's screenwriting program. There was a fantastic chance as well to prove my animating skills by taking on another internship as a Motion Graphic Artist.
I worked for Media Matters Inc for a couple of days but it taught me how to be a better animator by taking on responsibilities I would not have thought of before.
The school I attended was Algonquin College, I graduated on the Dean's Honour List. The program I took was TV Broadcasting. I had so many fun experiences there and love the program. I learned a lot of camera techniques that would be relevant in the TV world. Not just the camera but the technical side of things was also a great help such as post-production.
