I’m deeply passionate about building connections and fostering a strong sense of community on the North Shore. Over the years, I’ve organized and executed large-scale community events for schools and sports organizations, with attendance ranging from 500 to 2,000 people. These events include everything from fundraisers and festivals to tournaments and celebrations.
Through this work, I’ve developed close relationships with school administrations, community leaders, and key local stakeholders. My ability to collaborate effectively and handle both the big picture and the finer details has been instrumental in delivering meaningful, impactful events that bring people together and support community growth.
My background is in education, with a focus on special education and working with elders. When my children started school, I realized the importance of building a strong community that they could thrive in. This inspired me to jump in with both feet, and since then, I’ve successfully led the Parent Advisory Council (PAC) for a school of nearly 500 students.
In addition, I serve as a board member for my children’s sports league, where I oversee planning and execution for all major events, including opening day ceremonies, tournaments, and fundraisers. These experiences have allowed me to blend my passion for education and community building with strong organizational and leadership skills to create inclusive, impactful events for families.
My educational background has given me a strong understanding of how schools operate and the unique needs of each individual school. Over the years, I’ve served on various boards and committees, including IB committees, the North Shore Safety Council, and as Chair of the Parent Advisory Council (PAC). These roles have allowed me to gain a comprehensive understanding of the North Shore educational system and contribute meaningfully to its growth and success.
